Cathy McEwan was also elected for the Renfrew South ward in 2007, is Convenor of Licensing, and Vice Chair of Renfrew Local Area Committee. Cathy McEwan lives in Renfrew, holds an honours degree in Public Administration and Management and has been employed as a Welfare Rights Officer.

Cathy has been a voluntary Renfrew Community Councillor and past secretary of a Renfrew Tenants & Residents Association.
