SNP Select Renfrew North Candidates For 2012
Tue, Dec 20, 2011

The SNP has selected Councillor Bill Perrie and local SNP activist John Shaw as their candidates for the Renfrew North ward at the next council elections in May 2012.

This was a unanimous decision by local SNP members and fully supported by the national party in recognition of the hard work, time and effort that both Bill and John have put into working in the local area.

Derek Mackay, SNP MSP for Renfrewshire North & West, said, “We recognise locally the amount of time, effort and work that both Bill and John put into campaigning in the area, and are delighted that we have two hard working and dedicated candidates to represent the party in this ward”.

Bill added: “John is one of our leading activists and brings a wealth of experience, ability and knowledge to any campaign.  I am more than happy to have him as my running mate”.

John also added: “I have seen first hand the dedication, workload and commitment that Bill puts into being a local councillor and am delighted to have been selected to stand with him in the Renfrew North ward”.
